Independent Residential Children’s Homes

Education

We work with many children who have become disengaged with mainstream education – so it’s our goal to help them learn to love learning again, in a safe, informal environment that encourages them to participate.

What we offer

Our children enjoy an education that focuses on their own objectives. Our package is consistently evolving, as we believe education should be designed around each child and their individual needs and talents.

Education can often be regimented, dictatorial and prescriptive – and many people just don’t fit the mould. We focus on achievement, whether that’s academic or vocational, and recognise that it means many different things to different people.

By getting to know each individual, their motivations and interests, we can guide them into a specialised learning pathway that aims to reignite a passion for learning, and develop independence.

We cater for children in Key Stages 3 and 4, with resources to offer comprehensive experiences both in and out the classroom. Children participate in a fulltime education timetable with support throughout.

Our timetables consist of a blend of e-learning courses that meet the needs of the National Curriculum, various AQA challenges and other vocational opportunities, with the overarching aim to gain nationally recognised accreditation that will support children in further study.

We’re steadfast in our belief that all children should be given every opportunity to flourish and we’re always looking for new ways to provide them with a positive educational experience.

Timetables

Our ordinary Education Timetable runs from 9.30-15.30 Monday to Friday and each day is divided into 7 sessions. But we’re not ordinary!

REINTEGRATION TO EDUCATION

We are able to offer young people a 12 week reintegration package to build confidence & achievement within education.

FOCUSING ON ACHIEVEMENT

So if our children need to learn a little later in the day instead, then they do! Our education times may be fluid & extend past these times to better suit the needs of individual young people.

Beyond The Classroom

Timetables allow for extra-curricular activities, weekly educational trips and work experience.
