Independent Residential Children’s Homes, est 2010

Care

Our mission is to offer children a family environment where they are loved, feel safe, settled and relaxed – giving them more stability. We offer understanding, encouragement and support, from carers who genuinely care, and are trained to be professional and non-judgemental.

Since 2010, our care homes have been a part of the community, and we’re proud of the positive relationships we’ve built. Our homes are small and family-like, with young children aged 6 to 10 and a dedicated, consistent staff team that feels more like family. Some of our staff have been with us for the 14 years, and we’re privileged to have many long-serving members, including mothers and daughters, husbands and wives. In total, our staff have been with us for a combined 118 years—an incredible honour for a small, local company like ours!

Our children are part of the fabric of the community, fully integrated, even though you may not always know we’re here. They’ve formed lasting bonds, including with the children of our staff. In fact, they’ve even had the chance to meet and play with their children and hold newborns (congrats again, Georgia!).

Each home supports up to 3 beautiful children. Our children often stay with us for many years, and currently, in Birch Cottage, we have children aged 8 to 10, with two being brother and sister. At Stable End, our children are 6 to 10. They are loved, nurtured, and provided with the stability they need to thrive.

We’re a quiet, caring presence in the community, and each day we strive to continue making a positive impact for our children, our staff, and and community.

What we offer

On paper we offer placements in our homes for children upto the age of 11. But we offer so much more than that.

We don't just care for our children, we care about them too, and their wellbeing. We treat everyone as an individual, and find the best ways to inspire them and help them be best they can – with all the tools they need to succeed.

All staff work hard to provide stability, security and appropriate boundaries, allowing children to thrive through feeling safe in their own environment.

We encourage children to feel part of the 'family' and to develop independence by chipping in on the daily running of the house.

Our homes are exactly that – a home.

HOMELY

Our homes feel just like a family home, where children feel safe, and relaxed.

staffING

We look for many qualities in the people we interview for roles – but those who can help ‘parent’ the children with us, as well as their usual duties, will always stand out.

Transparency

We’re open and clear in everything we do – and make all care plans and regular reports available to social workers whenever they need them.

matching process

We have a rigorous matching process to ensure we are the best place to help and support a child.
